On Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, Trinity Baptist Church celebrated the realization of a 50-year vision.  Since the beginning of the church, Trinity has had a vision of growth. The original church was constructed with a planned addition and while the plans were modified over time, the vision to grow and serve the community of Sweetwater has remained steadfast.
Trinity held its first worship service on Oct. 21, 1956, and exactly 56 years later, the church celebrated the dedication of its new Family Life Center. Shown are Delbert Davis, Deacon; Glenda Casto; Pauline Ballew, charter member of the church; Pastor Ward Hayes; and Paul McCarthy, Deacon in front of a stained glass piece — depicting the Holy Trinity — donated by the second pastor of the church, Malcolm Brown.
Brown, who now resides in Abilene, furnished the entire foyer area of the new Family Life Center of Trinity Baptist Church in memory of his wife JoAnn.
