The Microsoft Word 2010 basic class will be held on Monday, June 17 through Wednesday, June 19 and is a six-hour course that covers the basic functions and features of Word 2010. After an introduction to Word’s window components, students will learn how to use the Help system and navigate documents.
Then, they will enter and edit text, create and save documents, and learn how to enhance the appearance of a document by using various formatting options. Participants will also create tables, headers and footers, proof and print documents, and insert graphics.
The intermediate/advanced Microsoft Word 2010 course will be taught on Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26 and is an eight-hour course that builds on the skills and concepts taught in Word 2010: Basic, First Look Edition. Students will work with styles, sections, and columns and will use the Navigation pane to work with outlines.
In addition, they will format tables, print labels and envelopes, and work with graphics. Students will use document templates, manage revisions, and work with Web features. Students will also perform mail merges, and create and use forms.
