TSTC student center going green

June 27, 2011

Sweetwater, TX – A solar array which contains approximately 120 modules will produce about 30.5 Kilowatts, providing enough power to operate the student center in Sweetwater. The construction was done by Meridian Solar.
The array is funded by SECO (State Energy Conservation Office) and TSTC West Texas and in addition to providing power to the center, it will also serve as a public and student display for green energy technology.
TSTC Harlingen and TSTC Waco received a solar array over the past year. This is the first solar array for TSTC West Texas.
