TSTC West Texas appoints new Vice President of Student Learning

Kyle Smith, the new Vice President of Student Learning for TSTC West Texas

TSTC West Texas announced that Kyle Smith will join the team as Vice President of Student Learning on June 18. Smith succeeds William W. Thompson whom moved to the TSTC Systems office in December. 
Smith is no stranger to TSTC West Texas having served as counselor for three years. Most recently, Smith served as the Dean of Instruction and Chief Academic Officer for Western Texas College. Prior to this post, he served WTC as Assistant Professor of Political Science and Psychology, Associate Dean of Instruction and Dean of Instruction. 
Smith earned an Associate Degree from Odessa Junior College, Bachelor Degree from the University Texas of the Permian Basin and a Master Degree of Public Administration from Angelo State University. 
TSTC West Texas President Gail Lawrence said, “Kyle’s expertise and high energy will serve TSTC West Texas well and I look forward to having him on our team.”
