TSTC West Texas leader to hold officer position for statewide organization

Maria C. Aguirre-Acuña, Associate Vice President Enrollment Management at Texas State Technical College West Texas has been named to the Executive Committee for the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACARO).
Acuña has been with TSTC West Texas for 27 years. She graduated with her AAS from TSTC in 1986 and began working as a student recruitment officer at the college. Acuña continued her education earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Management from Wayland Baptist University.
TACRAO is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional educational association of cooperating collegiate level institutions. The purpose of the Association is to advance professionally the work in the offices of admissions, records, registration and other related functions among institutions of higher learning.
The officers were selected via a voting process and will begin their term during the Business Meeting the TACRAO Annual Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013.
