TSTC West Texas nursing readies Abilene State Supported Living Center employees for flu season

On October 3 and 4, Texas State Technical College West Texas’ vocational nursing students from the Sweetwater & Breckenridge campuses administered approximately 600 flu vaccines to the Abilene State Supported Living Center's employees.

TSTC West Texas nursing faculty Sharon Zetzman, RN and Sheila Lamb, RN, supervised the students in this clinical experience. This partnership will continue in November with the Abilene State Supported Living Center’s employee health fair, in April 2013 TSTC will return for a TB injection clinic and again in October of 2013 for another flu clinic.
