Tuesday's local events

July 1, 2014

Today, July 1 kicks off a three-day Mustang Junior Golf Clinic at the Sweetwater Country Club for ages 5 and up. The clinic will run Tuesday through Thursday, July 1-3.
Sessions are from 9-11 a.m. each day. A fee will be charged, but family discounts are available.
For more information, call Ashley Timm at (325) 338-8055 or Don Timm at (325) 235-8093.
Starting at 10 a.m., the County-City Library will have its Adult Literacy/ESL class.
Instructors will help participants learn to read, improve reading skills, improve English skills or help participants read to their children. Call 235-4978 for more information.
Also at the local library, the Let's Talk Books club will meet at noon in the meeting room.
This month, club members will take turns recommending their favorite books. The new list for the rest of the year will be out by July 7.
For the book club, you don’t have to read the book to attend the meeting, just come and hear about the book. Sack lunches will be provided for the first 15 people for a donation.
For more information, call 235-4978 or go to www.sweetwaterlibrary.org.
