Twenty-eight TSTC students receive T-STEM scholarships

Texas State Technical College West Texas awarded T-STEM scholarships to 28 students. The recipients were awarded $550 for the spring 2014 semester. Two of the awardees are first-time college students, while four others are repeat recipients who received a T-STEM scholarship last semester. The recipients for this semester are enrolled in the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, Computer Aided-Drafting and Design, Computer Networking Systems and Administration and Computer Science and Database and Web Programming programs.
TSTC West Texas received approximately $60,000 from the co-board for T-STEM scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year. First semester college students must have earned a 3.0 GPA in math and science courses in high school and college students are required to have earned a minimum of 3.0 GPA in all courses.
