Two make Super Team; 7 honored

A pair of Sweetwater High School football players are on the All-Big Country preseason Super Team that was announced Sunday by the Abilene Reporter-News.
Bray Amos (wide receiver) and Isaiah McGee (de-fensive back) earned top honors, with the 5-6, 160-pound Amos being named to the Super Team for the second consecutive year af-ter catching 67 passes for 1,067 yards and 19 touch-downs in 2013. McGee was named to the Super Team on defense after making 66 tackles (25 solo), with five for a loss, with one sack and two interceptions. A two-way threat, he accounted for 983 yards and eight TDs on offense.
Named by the Reporter-News as “others to watch” this season are two other Sweetwater players, quar-terback Kaegan Jeffrey and offensive lineman Ty Crain, along with Roscoe’s Cutter Davila (quarterback) and Max Nemir (linebacker) and Highland’s Gaga Soe-darsono (defensive line).
This is the second straight year in which Jeffrey has made the “others to watch” category. He had 2,752 yards passing last season.
