I took the time to go listen, and discovered that the VICTIMS were not willing to appear...even for a plea. IF they won't show up for that, why would anyone presume that they would show up to testify?

Neither the DA nor the judge can force a victim to do something they don't want to do. The question then becomes, is SOME consequence better than NO consequence?

Yea Yea, well would you want to appear heck no you wouldn't still remains that the molester was picked up put in jail and then back out on the streets to pick another child. But then again, I think Sweetwater is getting numb to the fact that we let all these people out on the street again. Why not let them wear a sign all around town saying HI I AM A CHILD MOLESTER. FRONT PAGE OF PAPER SHOULD DAY CHILD MOLESTERS 10, SWEETWATER CHILDREN 0. WHAT CHILD IS NEXT, YOURS? Maybe we should warn new comers to Sweetwater watch your children closer we have alot of molesters on the street.

MOVE TO SWEETWATER ARE CHILD MOLESTERS WANT YOUR CHILDREN.

I would like to know what is the deal with Judge Harrison letting all the child molesters off on probation in the same town they molested the child in. Its bad enough the child has been scarred for life, but to see their molester in town all the time. We have a picture once or twice every couple weeks on front page, of a child molester getting probation. Is Sweetwater in such bad shape that we need that probation money. I know we the people of Sweetwater are always paying for something are forefather of the town mess up. But, come on what if it was your child Judge Harrison. Are you keeping statics on those to be found guilty by jury or those that plead guilty for lesser charge. Drug charges, bad checks, forgery, aggravated assult, send them to prison for 8 years, but oh no, lets give them probation and let them go out an molest a child, just pick one, and you will be guaranteed probation. Come on Sweetwater, don't you think we need a new judge. Lets quit slapping molesters on the hand, give them probation, and permission to do it again. THE NEXT CHILD MIGHT BE YOURS OR RELATED TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You apparently have no clue how the system works.
The DA presents the case to the Court and the Defense
Attorney represents the accused. The Judge listens to both
sides. If there are problems with a case then the DA and defense
Attorney come to an agreement. The Judge can only go by the law.
You should check into the facts before you mouth about something that
you have clue about. Do you really think the Judge likes seeing child
molesters go free? It has to bother him just like it does all of us!!!!

hey crazygirl70, yes you are crazy and yes I do believe it doesn't bother Judge Harrison whether he lets a child molester go, get probation etc. And as far as you go, you must not have ever had anyone you know or family that has been molested. Until then your opinon means nothing. And if you have then you must be one sick individual to want child molesters in your own town or backyard. Hope you don't have any children, because you never know whose next on the next child molester we see on the front page of the paper. Judge has more power than you think, he may listen to both sides but I do believe he like many others has selective hearing. Apparently trying to keep people like you happy. Good Luck

One of the child molestors in town met most of his prey on Facebook. I think parents should know more about what their children are doing. Most cases are children that have been hurt by someone they know or a family member or family friend (that's sick), but in certain cases teenagers are speaking up when their hearts are broken or when they get caught. I think parents that have teenage girls or boys having sex already should face some sort of consequence also. We have a lot of teenage pregnancy in this little town, and that seems ok to some as long as both kids are under the age of 18. THAT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!
