Two receive 5-3A honors

A pair of Sweetwater’ athletes, Paxton Kelley and Taylor Jones, have received all-District 5-3A basketball honors for their outstanding play this past season.
Kelley, a 6-8 senior post, was named to the first team and received all-district honors for the second straight year. He averaged a team-high 15.3 points in district play and also led the Mustangs in rebounds and blocks.
Jones, a 5-9 junior guard, was named to the second team. Jones averaged 14.6 points in district play and was the team’s floor leader.
Luke Adams of Big Spring was named the district’s most valuable player, while Brown-wood’s Graylon Brown was the defensive MVP and Big Spring’s Chaz-zell Robinson was cho-sen the district’s new-comer of the year.
