Two to represent SISD at Regional Spelling Bee

Collin Stafford, fifth grader at SIS who will be one of two representatives for Sweetwater at the regional spelling bee

Sweetwater Independent School District announced the students that will be representing the school district in the Regional Spelling Bee at Odessa College on Feb. 23.
Fifth grader at Sweetwater Intermediate School Collin Stafford, 11, will be one of those representatives. He is the son of Wes and Tammi Stafford. His hobbies are reading, basketball and football. The school bee coordinator is Melissa Howard.
Kara Lehnert, 12, sixth grader at Sweetwater Middle School, will also be representing SISD. She is the daughter of Dustin and Yvonne Lehnert. Her hobbies are softball, basketball and volleyball. The school bee coordinator is Danette Price.

The Sweetwater girls fell to 0-4 after losing, 50-36, to Abilene Cooper in basket-ball action here...
