Many members of the community showed their support for the local Meals on Wheels program by attending the annual Taste of Sweetwater on Monday, April 9, 2012. Over 300 people showed up for the event, directly benefitting the program, part of the Senior Nutrition Activities Program (SNAP), delivering hot meals every weekday to over 200 homebound residents in Sweetwater and Roscoe. According to Director Tonya Challis, the event raised about $3,000 for the Meals on Wheels program.
