A brief City Manager's report was heard during Tuesday's City Commission meeting, as Eddie Brown gave updates on current city projects.
Construction on the SNAP (Senior Nutrition Activities Program) building is underway, as windows are being placed. The expectation is for the building to be a nice facility where participants can return, and in a timely manner.
On Tuesday, June 4, construction on the bulk water transfer station at the Highland High Service Pump Station began. City staff recently made a visit to the site, where dirt work is taking place and the overall project is progressing well.
And by the early part of July, the 2013 street seal coating will begin, in which the commissioners were given a schedule in their packets. The city project will take place after the county's seal coating so that the two entities can work together as part of an interlocal agreement.
