Vera Aucutt, age 84, of  Roscoe, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater, Texas with Rev. David Weyant officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 11, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. 
Vera was born October 15, 1926, in Nolan County, Texas to Edmond and Elfreida (Sauer) Gabler. She married Hermon Aucutt on October 29, 1945 at First Salem Lutheran Church in Roscoe, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.   
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Elaine Reedy and husband Ronnie Carroll Reedy of Roscoe, Texas; son, Ronnie Eugene Aucutt and wife Linda Kay Aucutt of Harrison, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Melanie Grellhesl and husband Derrick, Rebecca Gratehouse and husband Logan and Rachel Shipp and husband Jason; one grandson, John Paul Melton; great-grandchildren, Drew Elizabeth Grellhesl, Axel James Grellhesl, Samuel Aaron Gratehouse, Maddux Thomas Shipp, Hannah, Kenedi and Allie Melton; two nephews, Leslie Rannefeld and Kenneth Rannefeld; and one niece, Patsy Rannefeld. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Elfreida Gabler; her husband, Hermon Aucutt and one sister Abilene Rannefeld. 
Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Geer, Leslie Rannefeld, Don Graf, Terry Clark, Jim Grellhesl and Patrick Partin.  
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
