VFW hosts Veterans Day flag raising

Lonnie Mendez (shown) raises the flag at the flag raising ceremony held at the Sweetwater Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post on the morning of Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
Sweetwater Chief of Police Jim Kelley, Vietnam War Veteran, was the keynote speaker.
Some of the participants during the flag raising ceremony held at the Sweetwater Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post included Richard Posey, Steven Alcala, Papa Womble and Billy Weems.
