Nine enter guilty pleas, three of those receive prison sentences

Nine people entered guilty pleas to Judge Glen Harrison at 32nd Judicial Court.
Marcus Rodriguez Martinez will received a sentence of ten years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division for driving while intoxicated with prior offenses, a second degree felony. The date of offense was Nov. 9, 2007. He will also have to pay a fine of $2,000, $470 in court costs and $500 in court-appointed attorney's fees. His driver's license will be suspended for one year. Martinez will receive 324 days credit towards his sentence.
Roy Hulin, Jr. pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, a state jail felony. The date of offense was May 26, 2007. He received 15 months confinement in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a $500 fine, $307 in court costs, $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety crime laboratory in Abilene and $500 to reimburse the county for court-appointed attorney's fees. He will receive 104 days credit towards his sentence.
Edward Wayne Jackson pled guilty to driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a state jail felony. The date of offense was Oct. 17, 2006. He received nine months confinement in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a $500 fine, $470 in court costs, and $500 in court-appointed attorney's fees. His driver's license will be suspended for 180 days. Jackson will receive 50 days credit towards his prison sentence.
Angie Ann Martinez will have to pay restitution to CUNA in the amount of $22,117. She pled guilty to theft over $20,000, a third degree felony. The date of offense was Nov. 15, 2006. She received three years of community supervision, a $1,000 fine, $305 in court costs and will have to serve 160 hours of community service.
Everett William Centner, Jr. will have to pay $6,598 in restitution to System 3, Inc. of Roscoe for felony criminal mischief, a state jail felony. The date of offense was Oct. 25, 2007. He also received five years community supervision, a $500 fine, $305 in court costs and will serve 120 hours of community service.
Lindley Allen Benson received four years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division for unlawful possession of a firearm, a third degree felony. The date of offense was Dec. 22, 2006. The charge was suspended and Benson was put on four years community supervision. He will have to pay a $500 fine and $305 in court costs. He will also have to serve 160 hours community service.
Eugene Cuellar Lopez pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, a state jail felony. The date of offense was May 15, 2008. Lopez received two years confinement in the Stet Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated to two years. He will have to pay a fine of $800, $370 in court costs and $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety crime laboratory in Abilene. He will have to serve 120 hours of community service.
Brooke Ashley Lyons pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine, a state jail felony. The date of offense was Sept. 28, 2006. She received two years community supervision, a $1,500 fine, $305 in court costs, and $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety crime laboratory in Abilene. She will also have to serve 120 hours of community service.
Reynaldo Martin pled guilty to possession of marijuana, a state jail felony. He received two years confinement in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated to two years. He will have to pay a fine of $800, $370 in court costs, $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety crime laboratory in Abilene and $500 in court-appointed attorney's fees. he will also serve 120 hours of community service.
