These obituaries ran in the Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, edition of the Sweetwater Reporter. Troy Dee Faglie
Funeral services for Troy Dee Faglie, 70, of Roby, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Roby Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Faglie passed away Nov. 16, 2008, in Abilene.
Faglie was born July 21, 1938, in Ballinger. He married Norma Russell July 20, 1972, in El Paso. He loved farming and worked in construction.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Faglie of Roby; his children, Steven Faglie, Todd Faglie, Brent Faglie, Robert Wolfe, Melanie Faglie, Neal Faglie, Frances Fierro, Richard Cook, Jewell Cook and Melissa Cook; brothers, Bobby Faglie of Blanket, Larry Faglie of Knippa and Roy Faglie of San Antonio; sister, Edith Wolfe of Garland; and many grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ira McCagie Faglie; father, Newton Harrison Faglie; sisters, Kathryn Flemming, Vida Jones and Vera Brandt; brothers, Melvin Faglie, Alvin Faglie, George Faglie and Charles Butler.
Pallbearers will be Don Campbell, Billy Fierro, Lance Soliz, Sterling Cook, Roel Cook and Robert Parsons.
George Carlton Nickeson
George Carlton Nickeson, 95, USAF Ret. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, in Sun City, Ariz. He was the son of Garnet Wood and brother of Dale and June.   Arrangements will be handled by Brewer & Sons Mortuary of Tampa, Fla., and internment will be at Bushnell Veterans Memorial Cemetery in  Brooksville, Fla.
