The 2009 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. banquet will take place from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the Nolan County Coliseum Annex. The scheduled agenda consists of a prominent keynote speaker, song and dance performances, a brief skit, essays, recitals and an awards presentation to regional community leaders.
Also making presentations at the event will be The Fantastic Soul Lifters of Wichita Falls; The Lane Family of Colorado City; Mrs. Belinda Brown Wright of Holy Temple in Hamlin; Mrs. Tanya Gaines of Snyder; and Ms. Tosha McGlothlin, a junior at Snyder High School.
Ticket prices for the event are $10 for adults ages 19 years and older; $4 for youths ages 18 and under; and $4 for senior citizens. Dr. King T-shirts are also on sale to benefit Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. programs. |
