State Representative Susan King will be guest speaker for the second Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce Membership Appreciation Luncheon, which is planned for Wednesday, June 3.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m. It will be held at the student center on the Texas State Technical College-West Texas campus. King is currently serving as state representative for District 71, which includes Nolan and Taylor counties. She will give an update on the Session, as it ends a few days before the luncheon. There is no charge to the luncheon for Chamber members, while the cost for non-members and Chamber guests will be $10. The Chamber stresses that reservations be made before the event to get a number of people attending. Chamber members also need to RSVP. Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber office at 235-5488. "This luncheon is our way of saying thank you to all the Chamber members who have supported us throughout the year," said Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jacque McCoy. Also, Rep. King will host the monthly Chamber of Commerce coffee at 10 a.m. earlier that day at Java Jax coffee shop, located at 325 Oak Street. |
