AGLOW Lighthouse will be sponsoring the Before School Prayer Walk, on Tuesday, August 11. “We have been doing this for 12 years now,” Minnie Castro, President of AGLOW, said.
People should meet at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 412 Newman Street. “It should take a couple of hours to get around to all the schools,” Castro said. The night will start out with a speaker that will talk about 10 or 15 minutes, a small period of worship, followed by prayer. Attendees will be divided up into groups, so that each of the schools will be visited. “We have designated group leaders for each school, and just in case there aren’t enough people to visit all the schools, such as Blackwell and Highland, there will be people at the church praying for those schools,” Castro said. The prayer walk will include all schools inside Nolan County, including TSTC, daycares and home schools. “The groups get to decide which schools they want to visit,” Castro said. “For instance if they have children at one and nieces and nephews at another, they can go to both.” All children, teachers, administration, and school board members are invited to attend, as well as anyone in the community. Following the prayers, at the school, will be worship and refreshments at the church. |
