Special H1N1 clinic to be held Tuesday |

The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department has scheduled a "special clinic" on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, to administer the H1N1 vaccine.
The priority groups to be vaccinated during this clinic are: • 8:30-11:30 a.m. for children ages 5 through 18 with high risk conditions. • 1-4 p.m. for all children ages 5 through 18. The health department has a limited amount of both vaccines. • Intranasal vaccine (live attenuated vaccine) for healthy persons 2-49 years. • Injectable vaccine (inactivated vaccine) The health department does not have any preservative free vaccine. Health care workers, EMS personnel, pregnant woman, 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, infants 6 months to 23 months old, caregivers and household contacts of infants less than 6 months old, who missed the clinics held last week or were unable to receive the intranasal vaccine, may come in on this day to receive H1N1 vaccine. The supply of each type vaccine is very limited; vaccine will be administered until all is gone. The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department will recommend the appropriate vaccine for each client according to the Center for Disease Control Recommendations. The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability or age. |
