Lady Stangs top Glen Rose

In a game at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, the Sweetwater girls beat Glen Rose, 50-38, on Tuesday.
Dedra Brown had 19 points and six rebounds to pace the Lady Mustangs, who built a 16-9 lead after one per-iod but trailed 25-23 at halftime and were ahead just 33-32 entering the fourth quarter.
Alicia Finn had 11 points and Kinsey Browning 10 for Sweetwater. Brittany Lashinski and Lyndi Locklar had three points, Lakeisha Robison two and Kendra Chowning and Aubra Hendrix with one.
Finn had 10 rebounds and Browning, Locklar and Chowning five, while Lashinski had four rebounds for the Lady Mustangs. Robison dished out a team-high four assists and Hendrix had two.
Sweetwater built part of its advantage at the foul line, making 18 of 32 to Glen Rose’s 13 of 18 as the team evened its early-season record at 2-2.
