John Womble has an-nounced his intent to run for county commissioner of Precinct 4. He is a lifelong resident of the county and resides in Maryneal.
He is a small rancher and served as the Maryneal fire chief, for 25 years.
“I just want to be able to help all Nolan County residents,” Womble said.
He has also been a Sweetwater Jaycee for the past 37 years and is a lifelong member.
“It might be time for a change,” Womble said.
Womble is married to Sandy Womble and they have a son Josh. They have a daughter-in-law named Kit and a grandson named Konner.
Womble graduated from Highland High School and is a member of Maryneal Baptist Church. His grandfather, Booster Adams, and an uncle, Billy Muncy, served as county commissioners. Womble has chosen Julie Hurn as his secretary-treasurer.
“I just want to say that I appreciate everyone’s vote,” Womble said.
