Womble announces he will run for Pct. 4 commissioner post |

John Womble has an-nounced his intent to run for county commissioner of Precinct 4. He is a lifelong resident of the county and resides in Maryneal.
He is a small rancher and served as the Maryneal fire chief, for 25 years. “I just want to be able to help all Nolan County residents,” Womble said. He has also been a Sweetwater Jaycee for the past 37 years and is a lifelong member. “It might be time for a change,” Womble said. Womble is married to Sandy Womble and they have a son Josh. They have a daughter-in-law named Kit and a grandson named Konner. Womble graduated from Highland High School and is a member of Maryneal Baptist Church. His grandfather, Booster Adams, and an uncle, Billy Muncy, served as county commissioners. Womble has chosen Julie Hurn as his secretary-treasurer. “I just want to say that I appreciate everyone’s vote,” Womble said. |
