Finally! It’s starting to feel like March. Yes that means wind, but also SUN! I love the spring; it’s just a very powerful time. It’s that time when Mother Nature is starting to make her rounds by waking up the sleeping flowers and trees. Spring is a time for new beginnings and new life!
Spring, for me, is like nature waking up from its winter sleep. It’s not fully awake, which is summer, but it’s in the waking up process. The grass is becoming green again, the trees are seeing new leafs, flowers are beginning to bud and all is well and new in the cycle again! When I think of spring I visualize grass stains, red robins and blooming flowers. Spring is really more than that of course. It’s a time to build on to what we have and really take joy in the things that matter to us. We should be aware of all that is good and well within our own lives and in the lives of the ones around us. It is not only your life; remember this is their life as well. Spring should be about us trying to bring something new to the table. We should want to do something more, to either help others or ourselves. Nature renews itself each year throughout the spring season, so shouldn’t we do the same? When you see the changes spring brings to everything around, you should try contemplating what you can do to renew your family, yourself and your life. Thought of the week: Nature isn’t the only one that needs to be revitalized, go out there and DO something. Casey LaRue Covington is a staff writer for the Sweetwater Reporter.
