Funeral services for Virgil Wayne "Jack" Stacy, 84, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with a 3 p.m. graveside service at Nancy Smith Cemetery near Glen Rose, Texas. Pastor Eric Von Atzigen will officiate with funeral services under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Stacy died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Glen Rose, Texas. He married Mary Ann West on July 28, 1950 in Glen Rose. Jack moved to Sweetwater in 1976 and was the owner of Jack's Liquor Store. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1945 to 1949.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Stacy of Sweetwater; son, Kelly Stacy and wife Kristi of Roscoe; two grandchildren, Kyle Stacy of Arlington and Madeline Stacy of Sweetwater; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Annie McCoy Stacy; two children, Ronnie and Theresa Stacy; and brothers, Henry and Cliff Stacy.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Alan West, Landon West, Grytch Smooth, Richard Stacy, Benny Ice and Stacy Newman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Goodwin, Robin Stacy, Royce Stacy and Frank Cantu.
