Vivian Elease Brown Seaton

CLYDE — Vivian Elease Brown Seaton, 82, of Clyde, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, at the funeral home.
Vivian was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Muldoon (Fayette County), Texas to Henry Herbert and Emma Ida (Bell) Brown and attended school in Roscoe. She was the widow of R.J. “Nubbin” Byars whom she married in Roscoe in 1946, Enoch Greer whom she married in Sweetwater in 1963, and Charles A. “Pete” Seaton, Jr. whom she married March 20, 1971 in Sweetwater. They came to Clyde from Sweetwater in 1971. Before retiring and becoming a full time granny, she worked at Timex for seven years and the Dairy Queen in Clyde for six years. She attended Cherry Heights Baptist Church in Clyde.
Vivian is survived by two sons, James and Jessie Byars, both of Clyde; four daughters, Joanne Holland and spouse James Ruddell of Clyde, Jessica Davis and spouse Rick of Clyde, Roberta Seaton of Abilene and Tammy Seaton and spouse Amber Reno of Lamesa; her special sister, Frankie Davis of Clyde; 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many others who called her Mother and Grandma.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Seaton; her daughter, Carole Byars Jones; and a brother, Charles Brown.
