Tonight, August 22, Children's Day Out preschool will have their Meet the Teacher from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information on registering, please call 325-236-9708.
Also, an invitation is extended to the "Great Campaign of Miracles" with international evangelist Tello Solis from August 22 through 24 at the Roscoe Worship Center, located at 800 Broadway in Roscoe.
Times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. on Sunday. Call Pastor Evaristo Granado at 236-0400 for more information.
On Saturday, Sweetwater Middle School will hand out football equipment for all incoming seventh and eighth grade players from 8:30-11 a.m. This will take place at the middle school's lower gym.
After all equipment is handed out, a brief meeting with the parents will be held. Anyone with questions should contact Tony Cortez, SMS athletic coordinator, at either (254) 485-0109 or they can email him at cortez8103@yahoo.com.
In addition, the Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its First Annual Pre-Dove Season Clay Shoot on August 23, 2014 at their trap range. The gates will be open and the fun will begin at 10 a.m.
The shoot is open to the public. You must have hearing and eye protection, gun and shells to participate.
There will be targets for all age groups, so please come out and enjoy the fun. For more information call 325-338-3387.
And at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Skate Sweetwater Community meeting will be held at Broadway Baptist Church. This is a meeting for all interested parties to help in the plans to construct the Skate Park here in Sweetwater.
From 8 p.m. to midnight, Shady Mitchell and his Kickin' Kountry band will perform at the VFW.
