The Sweetwater Woman's Forum, with monies they raised from the "$500 Shopping Spree" held in December, were happy to be able to buy five "glider" chairs for Senior Nutrition Activities Program (SNAP).
Pictured above are (back row) Margie Wilks, Kay Hallman, Janet Patty, Lita McEachern (co-chairperson of the Shopping Spree) and (front row) Alvin Chastain, Evelyn Barnes, Wilma Critz, Bobbie Bowen and Inez Walker. Not pictured are Gayle Greer, Lana McCain, Nancy Clark (co-chairperson for the Shopping Spree) and Shirley Moore (president).
The Women's Forum wanted to give a special thanks to Gallery Furniture and Lee Rawlings for such a great deal.
SNAP Director Tonya Challis would like to let the public know the SNAP program is still running, despite the on-going construction to the former facility. They are holding activities and meals at the Trail of Lights storage building, next door to the original facility.
