Wreck claims two lives
Two people were killed and one injured in a one vehicle rollover crash that occurred in Nolan County on Friday evening at 6:10 p.m. The crash was located on Farm Road 608, 7/10 of a mile east of mile marker 308, near the community of Maryneal. The vehicle involved was a 2001 Dodge extended cab pickup driven by Jose Refugio Camarillo-Martinez, 34 years of age from Roscoe. He was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt. Camarillo-Martinez was traveling westbound on Farm Road 608. The right rear tire of the pickup blew out and the vehicle left the roadway. The driver attempted to re-enter the roadway which caused the vehicle to go into a side skid and overturn. Fidel Hernandez Acosta, 39, from Roscoe was riding in the outer back seat and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:05 p.m. by Nolan County Judge Tim Fambrough. His body was taken to Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home in Sweetwater. Jesus Herrera Aldavera, 21, from Roscoe was riding in the other outer back seat and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo where he was pronounced dead by Doctor Kimrey Daniels at 10:07 p.m. His body was taken to Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.Victor Manuel Lopez, 29 of Roscoe, was riding in the pickup’s front passenger position. He was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo with internal injuries.The fifth occupant in the vehicle was Ismael Perez, 51, from Roscoe. He was seated in the middle back seat passenger seat and was not injured. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. This crash is being investigated by Trooper Todd Adkins. Funeral services for Fidel Hernandez Acosta will be held in Marivillas, Coahuila, Mexico. Burial will be at Municipal Cemetery in Marivillas, Coahuila, Mexico. Local arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Funeral services for Jesus Herrera Aldavera, 21, of Roscoe and formerly of Mexico, will be held in Mexico at a future date.
