Funeral services for Wynona SoRelle Pickett, 86, of Sweetwater, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Mike Crowley officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Pickett died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in Sweetwater.
She was born June 27. 1926, in Eskota. She married Tommy Pickett on July 26, 1947, in Sweetwater. Wynona was a housewife and longtime resident of Sweetwater. She was a member of 4th and Elm Church of Christ. She was den mother for the Boys Scouts and was an active member of PTA. She graduated from Sweetwater High School.
Survivors include her sons, Wiley Dee Pickett and wife Pattie of Rock, Mich. and Bob Pickett of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Bobby Pickett Jr. and wife Sara of Austin and Debbie Martin and husband Don of Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Kara Johnson and husband Cade of Roscoe, Tyler Martin of Canyon, Tanner Martin of Lubbock, Kaylee Martin of Sweetwater and Ethan and Wyatt Pickett of Austin; sister, Billie Ruth Sweek of Sweetwater; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Pickett on Aug. 21, 2001; a daughter, Patsy Pickett; sister, Juanita Toten; and nephew, Danny McCowen.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Martin, Duane Boadreau, Bruce Evans, Jeff Barth, Brice Hartgraves, Tanner Martin and Kade Johnson.
