Here is the obituary that ran in today's edition of the Sweetwater Reporter.
Elizabeth Garcia Acebedo
Funeral services for Elizabeth Garcia Acebedo, 56, of Roscoe, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Roscoe with Rev. Jimmy Don Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at McCoy Chapel of Memories
Acebedo passed away Oct, 23, 2008 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 3, 1952, in Loraine. She married Edward Acebedo, Sr. Sept. 16, 1973 in Roscoe. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roscoe and was a member of the women's club there. Acebedo had lived in Roscoe since 1970, and had worked as a custodian for the First Baptist Church. She was a supporter of Roscoe schools.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Acebedo, Sr. of Roscoe; two sons, Edward Acebedo, Jr. of Roscoe and Steven Acebedo of Merkel; one sister Ruth Anzuldua of Granbury; five brothers, Ricky Garcia, Ruben Garcia and Danny Garcia, all of Roscoe, Noah Garcia of Loraine and Francisco Garcia of Washington, D.C.; and one granddaughter, Allison Acebedo of Roscoe.
She will be carried by her two sons, Edward and Steven and her brother's in-law, Jimmy Aguilar, Bill Aguilar, Louis Aguilar and Tony Aguilar. |
