Roscoe’s junior varsity shut out Cross Plains, 38-0, on Thursday.
If that sounds familiar, Roscoe won by the same score over Cross Plains a week earlier in Cross Plains before playing Thursday on Roscoe’s field.
Juan Sanchez had three touchdowns on runs of 2, 5 and 5 yards. In addition, he converted a pair of two-point conversions, one on a pass from Brayden Beal and the other on a run. Beal had a 28-yard TD run as well and Johnathon Cuellar had a 3-yard TD run as well as a two-point conversion run. Roscoe also got points from Austin Willman when he forced a safety in the second quarter, and Beal had an interception in the opening period.
“We played well, but we still need to work hard, im-prove and clean up the mistakes,” said coach Jordan Morales, whose team is 4-1 overall after the win and plays Albany this week.
