The Sweetwater Kiwanis Club is gearing up for their annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Supper on Friday night, Oct. 25, at the Sweetwater High School cafeteria. The fundraiser will be held before the Mustangs take on the Big Spring Steers in Mustang Bowl.
Serving begins at 5 p.m. and continues until kick-off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 each (for adults) and $6 each (for children 12 and under). The club is offering a special group rate of $5 each for parties of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis Club member or at the door the night of the supper (Oct. 25).
All money raised at the Kiwanis’ Pancake Supper goes back to local children in need. The Sweetwater Kiwanis Club helps local disadvantaged children each year at Christmas and throughout the year providing school supplies, clothes, donations and disaster relief to children without. Friends of the Kiwanis Club have graciously donated much of the goods for this year’s pancake supper. Fuller Foods in Colorado City will be donating the sausage and bacon. IHOP of Abilene is donating pancake batter and syrup and Brookshire’s Grocery in Sweetwater is donating $50 of goods to the effort.
Everyone under the sun is warmly welcome to come enjoy hot-cakes and syrup with the Kiwanis Club before the football game on Oct. 25 from 5-7:30 p.m.
