Robert G. Allred, 82, of Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2013 at Clare Bridge in Everett, Washington.
Bob was born April 19, 1931 to Samuel and Vera Orbie Allred (Wood) in Sweetwater, Texas. He attended Sweetwater schools and graduated from Newman High in the class of 1949. He married Betty J. Long of Roby on April 23, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri and together they raised three sons.
He served in the U. S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic in the 1950s during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the military, he began working at Continental Airlines, both in California and Washington. He retired from Continental in 1993 after 37 years of employment.
Bob was a devoted father to his sons and loved the outdoors, animals, spending time with friends and family and telling a good joke.
His parents, wife, Betty and a sister and brother-in-law, Mardelle and Oran Maynard, preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Samuel of Seattle, Washington, David of San Francisco, California and Michael of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by a niece, Sherolyn Maynard Nichols of Abilene.
Arrangements are with Brown Mortuary Service in Chehalis, Washington.
