Isaiah McGee of Sweet-water has recently earned Class 3A second team all-state recognition as an all-purpose back by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
McGee, a 5-9 junior, racked up over 1,000 yards receiving and rushing last season for the Mustangs with eight TDs — four receiving and four rushing. He also scored on a fumble return, and in December earned all-state honorable mention by the Associated Press Sports Editors as a defensive back. McGee caught 33 passes for 595 yards and rushed for a team-high 419 yards, while also finishing second on the team with 98 tackles.
Davis 3rd at regionals

Jay Lomas, Austin Marlett, Cory Mendez, Junior Law-hon, Zach Garcia, Nathan Browning and Dylan Jime-nez also lifted for Sweetwa-ter but did not place high enough to gain any points.
