Funeral services for Ronnie Lee Gardner, 63, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church in Roscoe. Rev. Dean Quade and Rev. Pat Quade will officiate. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Gardner died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Hendrick Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 21, 1951, in Fisher County.
Survivors include his sons, Brad Gardner and wife Amber of Abilene, Lance Gardner and wife Evie of Garland, Michael Gardner and wife Allie of San Angelo and John David Gardner and wife Sheila of Roby; wife, Connie Gardner of Sweetwater; brothers, Terry Gardner and wife Brenda of Sweetwater and Leon Gardner and wife Zenita of Sylvester; sisters, Sue Sutton and husband Buddy of Sweetwater, Jane Chew and husband Elvin of Abilene and Doris Squires and husband Winfred of Carrolton; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Willa May Christopher Gardner; brothers, Jim Gardner, Donald Gardner and Sonny Gardner; sisters, Darlene Schoonover, Jo Faught, Peggy Eaton, Billie Martin, Sandra Estes and June Squires.
Pallbearers will be Basil Stags, Jackie Williams, Bobby Briscoe, Jay Suggs, Glen Barton and Gene Sorrows.
