With the release of its sophomore disc, Of A Captive Heart, and a tireless work ethic, A Road Less Traveled is moving boldly forward to become a legitimate rising star in 2011. Lead single “Underneath” is already gaining airplay, following in the footsteps of the band’s previous single, “Save Me” from the band’s independent debut, which landed in the top 30 at christianrock.net.
With roughly 120 shows logged in 2009, the band laid a strong foundation and grew a loyal fan base to build upon throughout the Midwest. A combination of smaller headline shows, conference appearances, youth camps and opening slots on national tours attests not only to the band’s flexibility and diversity, bit to its willingness to do whatever it takes to connect with its steadily growing audience.
As the band refines and sharpens its dynamic live show, the touring opportunities continue to roll in. In 2009, A Road Less Traveled joined the “Rock What You Got Tour” with Superchick, Stellar Kart and Article One to finish the year strong. In 2010, the band joined Hawk Nelson and Group 1 Crew for the spring leg of the “Live Life Loud Tour.” Most recently the band shared the stage at Snyder’s Red Letter Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Christian bands like Remedy Drive, The Wedding, The Almost and POD.
Undoubtedly, this is just the beginning for a band that thrives on connecting with its fans on both and emotional and physical level. By combining powerful, introspective lyrics that the audience can identify with and an energetic, engaging live show, this is quite simply becoming the band to watch for in 2011.
