Suddenlink Communications has launched more new high-definition (HD) TV channels in Abilene, Snyder and Sweetwater.
New channels include: Fuse HD, Independent Film Channel HD, We TV HD, Biography Channel HD, Disney XD HD, History Channel International HD, The Science Channel HD, Fox Business Network HD, Fox Soccer Channel HD, Oxygen HD, HBO Comedy HD, HBO2 HD and Starz Comedy HD. In addition, a number of new digital channels in standard definition have been added, including: MTV Jams, VH1 Soul, Nick 2 and Starz Comedy.
HDTV offers a widescreen format, similar to a movie theater, with distinctly sharper images and better sound quality than standard TV.
Introducing the new HD channels is the latest step in the company’s previously announced nationwide capital investment program, calling for approximately $350 million over three years, above and beyond Suddenlink’s traditional capital spending levels. That program earlier helped introduce a number of other new HD channels and faster Internet speeds in Abilene, Snyder and Sweetwater.
