One Killed in I-20 Crash Near Roscoe

One person was killed in a three vehicle traffic accident on I-20 and Highway 84 between Sweetwater and Roscoe, according to DPS Senior Trooper Sparky Dean.
An 18-wheeler, a wrecker, and a truck collided, sending all three vehicles into the grassy shoulder and twisting one of the 18-wheelers onto its side.
The 18 wheeler driven by Tem Tanh from Georgia was merging onto I-20 from US 84. Tanh lost control of his rig and it rolled onto its side.
A Freightliner wrecker driven by Ronald Jett from Lubbock struck the overturning 18 wheeler. Jett was killed in the wreck. He was not wearing a seat belt.
A pickup driven by Mikle Lee Sadler took evasive action to avoid the developing crash and overturned. Sadler was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock with a serious head injury.
The accident happened just before 3 p.m.
The wrecker involved belongs to Pat Gray Towing in Big Spring. That company did not wish to make a comment on their driver's condition Thursday afternoon.
Traffic was halted in order to allow a medical helicopter to land on I-20, according to police radio reports.
