The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 52 calls for service, issued no citations and made two arrests on March 23, 2011.

The SPD received 19, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Assault — 300 block of W. Colorado.
• Theft, state jail felony — 200 block of W. Broadway.
• Theft, Class B — 1000 block of View.
Arrested by SPD:
• Matthew Pace, 22 — Warrant.
• Xavier Limones, 18 — Warrant.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had five calls for service, served four civil papers and made no arrests on March 23, 2011.

Calls for service:
• Information only — E. 3rd.
• Vehicle fire — I-20 MM 254 east bound.
• Grass fire — CR 560.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 54 west bound.
• Close patrol — E Bradford Lane.

Total in Custody: 49 (Garza County, four, Taylor County, three).

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to three ambulance calls and three fire calls from March 23, 2011.
