A memorial service for Tony Wayne Fisher, 42, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Word of God Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Dale Stowe officiating.
Fisher died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
He was born June 14, 1968, in Paris, Texas. Tony had lived in Sweetwater for many years and Maryneal for 10 years. He was a graduate of Quanah High School. He had worked for Up-Wind, TSTC in the maintenance department and Duvall Stripper Repair in Roscoe. Tony was a Baptist. He loved being in the outdoors, entering in cook-offs, hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved his son, Kamren and being a dad.
Survivors include his son, Kamren Wayne Fisher of Sweetwater; ex-wife, Maleah Townsend of Sweetwater; mother, Lena Fisher of Chillicothe; brothers, Loyd Layman and wife Janeta of Bay City, Bruce Layman and wife Retha of Midland, Bobby Fisher and wife Jennifer of Sweetwater and Victor Fisher of Sweetwater; sisters, Kathy Ballenger and husband Mike of Sweetwater, Sarah Cooper and husband Danny of Sweetwater and Fran Belcher and husband Floyd of Chillicothe; and honorary brother, Cranston Ballenger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Eugene Fisher; a sister, Judy Ballenger; and a niece, Jennifer Ballenger.
