The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 56 calls for service, issued three citations and made four arrests on May 24, 2011.

The SPD received 13, 911 calls.

Accidents:
• 1000 block of Oak Street.

Calls for service:
• Burglary of a residence — 200 block of W. Avenue B
• Unattended death — 500 block of NW Georgia.

Arrested by SPD:
• Shawn Lents, 30 of Sweetwater — Public intoxication.
• Jason Messers Schmidt, 22 of Sweetwater — Public intoxication/unlawful possession of a weapon.
• Steven Mykkill, 37 of Sweetwater — Public intoxication.
• Billy Opry, 45 of Sweetwater — Warrant.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had nine calls for service, served seven civil papers and made one arrest on May 24, 2011.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Oscar Antonio Vasquez, 31 of Colorado City — Theft.
• David Garcia Huerta, 19 of Loraine — Theft.
• Diana Ortiz, 34 of El Paso — Warrant/motion to revoke probation.
• Brazil Chanell Walker, 24 of Sweetwater — Judgement.

Calls for service:
• Assist Roscoe PD/Theft — E. Broadway, Roscoe.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 230 east bound.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 228 east bound.
• Close patrol — Bradford Lane.
• Prisoner transport — Middleton Unit, Abilene.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to five ambulance calls and five fire calls on May 24, 2011.
• Nine in the city of Sweetwater.
• One Abilene transfer.
