The Roscoe girls basket-ball team got its first win of the season Tuesday, and it came at the expense of ano-ther Nolan County squad.
The Plowgirls (1-1) used dominant second and third quarters to come away with a 58-21 win at Blackwell.
Roscoe led just 8-6 after one quarter, but exploded for 27 second-quarter points in building a 35-11 advantage. The Plowgirls then outscored Blackwell 19-2 in the third period to open up a commanding 54-13 lead over their hosts and coasted from there to the victory.
Roscoe, which will host Cross Plains this Friday, had three players in double figures. Faith Boren led the team with 19 points, while Lynnsi Moses and Carolina Perez had 10 points each.
Mirian Solis added five points, Sara Kingston and Kendall Moses four, Stina Tomlin three, Jacinda Mor-ales two and Torrey Will-man one. Blackwell’s indi-vidual statistics were not available at press time.
