SAN ANGELO — In celebration of Pat’s entrance into our Lord’s hand, we commend his soul. Pat’s life began in Robert Lee, Texas on Aug. 29, 1959, as the sixth child of Johnny and Doris Kohutek. He was a true blessing to all of the family. Pat was a graduate of Reagan County High School in Big Lake and a part of the Class of 1977. Pat’s life extended to Jan. 19, 2012, and passed away at the age of 52 after battling cancer for numerous years.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Johnny; and a brother Steven John.
He is survived by his soul mate and wife Carol Hays Kohutek. They began their life together on April 18, 1992. He is also survived by his sons, Ryan Clark of Benjamin, TX and Scott and Tana Clark of Baton Rouge, LA. His mother Doris was and still is his guiding light. He is also survived by brothers, Blake and his wife Susie, David and his wife Becky and his sister Becky, all of Big Lake, and brother, Mark of Midland. Numerous nieces and nephews were always a part of his life.
Pat loved the farm and could be down there hunting or fishing all the time. This was actually Pat and Carol’s first date. He cooked for her. It was a place where he could be alone with his thoughts and was always looking for that next big buck or catching that big channel cat.
A special thank you goes to Shannon Medical Center 5 North, Arbor Terrace Care Center and the neighbors in the “hood” who meant so much to Pat.
Services will be at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 2781 W. Ave N. on Monday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Bill Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church San Angelo TX. Interment will be at the family farm near Lowake.
