Ray Cornutt, Sweetwater Jaycee President and Chairman of the 54th Annual World’s Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up, has released the schedule and prices for the upcoming Round-Up on March 9-11, 2012. The Jaycees have released that they will be paying $10 per pound for live Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes. The Jaycees have collected more than 300,000 pounds of Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes since the start of the Round-Up in 1959. Ray stated “this price will be paid all three days with no weight limit on number of pounds brought in.” The Rattlesnake Round-Up is held annually on the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum Complex in Newman Park.

The Rattlesnake Review Parade will be at 4:30 p.m. The Miss Snake Charmer Scholarship Pageant will be at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium, located at 400 Locust. Ticket prices for adults (13 and up) are $8 per person. Student tickets (6-12) are $5 per person.

Round-Up ticket prices for adults (13 and up) are $8 per person. Tickets for students (6-12) are $5 per person. The Jaycees will be offering a military discounted price with a military ID of $5 per person all three days.

On Friday, March 9, 2012, from 8 p.m. to midnight Brian Keane and Granger Smith will perform with ticket prices at $10 per person.
On Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. the Steve Helms Band and JB and The Moonshine Band will perform with ticket prices at $15 per person and $25 per couple.
Both dances are BYOB with a cooler charge of $5 to $10, depending on cooler size. No glass containers will be allowed. Doors open both nights at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door or online at www.outhousetickets.com [3]. ALL Jaycee sponsored dances are held at the Jaycee Barn at 307 W. 4th Street in Sweetwater.
The 52nd Annual Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club Gun, Knife, and Coin Show is held annually during the World’s Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up in the Nolan County Coliseum Annex in Newman Park in Sweetwater.
The show will be open Friday, March 9, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 (12 and over) per person. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by a parent.
