The Sweetwater Campus of Texas State Technical College West Texas will host a College Preview and Open House on Saturday, April 14. The event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is open to the public. TSTC West Texas advisors will lead prospective students on a campus tour where they will meet the college's top-notch faculty and have the opportunity to check out first-hand the brand-new automotive alternative fuel trainers current students are using, as well as the wind turbine drive train the Wind Technology students train on.
"Here at TSTC West Texas, we are proud to provide our students with more hands-on training than any other college in the area," said event organizers.
During the tour of the culinary facility, Chef Coby will share all he has in store for the new Food Service Technology program and continuing education culinary classes open to the public as well.
Interested in nursing? Those attending will get to see current nursing students in action in the state-of-the-art simulation labs. "Hands-on training has never been better."
In addition to tours of the facilities, the Career Services department will be on hand to meet attendants and talk jobs. "These folks will help you get the job you want upon graduation."
Financial aid, Admissions and Veterans Advisors will also be available to answer questions.
