The County-City Library was founded in 1907 by the Saturday Club and serves Nolan County. There are currently four full time employees and two part time employees.
The Friends of the Library are sponsoring the Chamber Coffee. The library has two major fundraisers in April. Women's Forum sponsors Library Tag Day on April 4, with all proceeds going to the library. The library board will be sponsoring the annual Book Sale, April 27 and 28, which is held in the Nolan County Coliseum Annex. The citizens of the community are supporters of the library by giving memorials, donations and volunteering for activities. The library has received several grants in the last few years, and showing the support of the community was a big part of receiving the grants. The library's goal is to provide the best service to the citizens of Sweetwater and Nolan County.
