The roar of motorcycles usually signals that some bikers are getting together to go somewhere and have some fun riding down the highway. This year for the first time in Nolan County, the roar of motorcycles will signal the start of the Goodfellows Motorcycle Toy/Canned Good Run. Bikers are known for many things, but one thing they know within their world is that there is generosity among bikers. There is a saying in the biker world that says that a fellow biker will help whenever possible, with whatever means necessary.
This year, the biker community is invited to participate in the first ever Toy Run. Each rider and passenger is asked to bring a new toy and a canned good to the Toy Run. This will then be donated to the Nolan County Goodfellows. The ride will start at the Nolan County Coliseum at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. All motorcycles are asked to line up at this time and the ride will then go through town toward Wal-Mart where the Goodfellows will have coffee and snacks for the riders. The ride will go south on Elm Street, turn right on Broadway and left on Lamar and finally turn left on Arizona Street to Wal-Mart parking lot.
Any group or individual wanting to participate in the first ever Goodfellows Motorcycle Toy/Canned Good Run may do so by bringing a new toy and a canned good. Line up will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Nolan County Coliseum.
