Funeral services for Raymond Mitchell Zetzman, 88, of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at First Salem Lutheran Church. Pastor Chester McCown will officiate. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery with Military Graveside rites provided by the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Zetzman died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
He married Jean N. Schoppa on May 16, 1945 in Roscoe. He was born to John M. and Frieds Goebel Zetzman on Aug. 18, 1924 in Roscoe, Texas. He had lived all of his life in Roscoe and was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Raymond had retired from Lone Star Industries as a Process Controlman, and was a farmer. He was a life member of the First Salem Lutheran Church. Raymond was also a past member of the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department, Roscoe Lions Club, and the Sweetwater Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Zetzman of Roscoe; daughters, Carrie Blaschke & husband Russell of Abilene, Jerrie Gee & husband Larry of Sweetwater, and Sherry McGlothlin & husband Eddy of Loraine; grandchildren, Chris Kinsey & wife Janie, Suzanne Hamm & husband Shane, William McCloskey, Justin Gee & wife Lacey, Jarrod Gee & wife Brandie, Bobby McGlothlin & wife Angela, and Scott McGlothlin; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Milton Zetzman; and sister, Irene Loyd.
Pallbearers will be Chris Kinsey, Christopher Kinsey, Shane Hamm, Justin Gee, Jarrod Gee, and Bobby McGlothlin.
Honorary pallbearers will be William McCloskey and Scott McGlothlin.
